About AHK-Cu
AHK-Cu is a copper-binding peptide, a chain of three amino acids (alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) that holds onto a copper ion. It is the copper peptide most closely associated with hair follicle research. We supply it as a freeze-dried powder at research grade, in a 100mg vial.
AHK-Cu and GHK-Cu are not the same compound. They differ at the first amino acid, alanine in AHK-Cu and glycine in GHK-Cu. The two are distinct research tools and are not interchangeable. This listing is for AHK-Cu.
Researchers studying AHK-Cu are most interested in the dermal papilla, the cells at the base of the hair follicle, and the way the peptide carries copper into those cells, mostly in cell and animal models.
