About DSIP
DSIP is a research peptide, a chain of nine amino acids first isolated from brain tissue in the 1970s. The name is an abbreviation of delta sleep-inducing peptide, after the slow brainwaves recorded during deep sleep. We supply it as a freeze-dried powder at research grade, in a 5mg vial.
Researchers studying DSIP are most interested in sleep architecture, circadian rhythm and stress hormone regulation, mostly in animal models. The published findings are mixed, which is itself part of why it remains an active area of study.
