Questions, answered
Who performs the treatment?
All permanent makeup at our Northriding studio is performed by our resident PMU artist. Your appointment starts with a consultation, shape mapping and a suitability check before any pigment is placed.
What is microblading?
Fine hair-like strokes of pigment are placed along the brow line to mimic natural hair growth, giving a realistic feathered finish. It suits normal to dry skin best.
Microblading or powder brows?
Microblading gives individual hair strokes while powder brows heal into a soft shaded makeup look that holds especially well on oily skin. Your artist will recommend the better fit at your consultation.
Does it hurt?
A topical numbing cream is applied before and topped up during your session, so most clients feel light scratching rather than pain. Sensitivity varies from person to person.
What is the healing process?
Colour looks darker for the first few days, then softens as the skin heals over 7 to 14 days, with the true healed shade settling by around week 4. Your aftercare guide lands in your inbox after your session.
Do I need a touch-up?
Most clients book a perfecting session 6 to 8 weeks after the first appointment to refine shape and colour once the skin has healed. Your artist will advise at your session.
How long does it last?
Permanent makeup softens gradually rather than fading overnight. Most clients enjoy 1 to 3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure, with a colour refresh recommended to keep it crisp.
