About SS-31
SS-31 is a research peptide, a synthetic chain of four amino acids designed to concentrate inside mitochondria, the structures that produce energy within cells. It binds to cardiolipin, a fat found only in the inner mitochondrial membrane. We supply it as a freeze-dried powder at research grade, in a 10mg vial.
Researchers studying SS-31 are most interested in how cells produce and use energy, how mitochondrial structure holds up under stress and how oxidative stress behaves in tissue with high energy demand, mostly in cell and animal models.
